I decided a few days ago to throw out my old website and create a new one. There wasn’t a lot of content on the old website, largely because I wound up starting a business and spending my creative energies creating content on Facebook.
For the most part, I’m not a fan of Facebook. For many reasons, chief among them Facebook’s overarching design goal to hijack our free time, I’ve decided to focus my creative energies elsewhere. In the last few months, I’ve been gradually weaning myself off of social media and have made pretty significant strides.
One benefit of no longer spending quite as much time on social media is that I’m now finding myself with a wealth of free time. Until very recently, I probably would’ve spent most of that free time playing video games — now, I’d much rather pursue hobbies and creative endeavors with long term goals.
Part of being creative, I think, is knowing that you’ll never be perfect and that good enough is the best you can hope for. With that in mind, I’ll introduce my revamped personal website. It’ll be messy, sporadically updated, and opinionated… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for reading!
